Add Export to Word
Many of my clients prefer transcriptions in .doc or .docx format, so it would be helpful to have an export feature for that. In the meantime, I copy and paste, but a straight-up export option would be much more elegant. Also, I imagine it might keep some of the formatting, such as the color-coded time codes, no? That would be helpful, too.

dear fellow user - you can just copy the whole thing and paste it in word. It takes 2 seconds.

A different transcription software already offers this option, to export .doc and .docx files. I would suggest even going one step further and exporting as .xls file for Excel spreadsheet, which may be an easier way to generate a table from a transcript.

I hear what you're saying about waiting until the formatting and background playback control features are in place in order to fully take advantage of a Word export feature. That said, it would still be nice to be able to quickly select Word as an export option from the file menu. The export to text option, for example, doesn't do much more than just copy and pasting into a text doc does, but it's a nice option nonetheless. One less step, etc. In any case, thanks for listening.

Since InqScribe does not currently support formatted text, this export option wouldn't buy you much. There's not much that an export would capture that copy and paste does not (note the blue time codes are hyperlinks, not styling).
However, once InqScribe supports styled text (see http://support.inqscribe.com/forums/4206-general-feedback-for-inqscribe/suggestions/33719-add-styled-text-support), then an export to Word is definitely worth considering. Also, once InqScribe supports background playback control (http://support.inqscribe.com/forums/4206-general-feedback-for-inqscribe/suggestions/33720-let-me-use-inqscribe-to-control-playback-in-the-ba) then exporting those hyperlinked time codes to Word also makes a lot of sense.
So exporting to Word might need to wait until the planned text styling and background video control features are in place.
