to have inqscribe to recognize tc on mp3 files
It will be nice if inqscribe could recognise ID3 TC in mp3 files embedded on the metadata. MP3 are smaller and have a fast download /upload time.
Thanks for writing in the suggestion. If the idea gets enough votes, we’ll consider adding support for MP3 timecode recognition!

Field recorders from major manufacturers like Sound Devices and Zaxcom create MP3 files for transcription with timecode stamped in the ID3 tag and have done so for years.

This is really common nowadays and will save me having to send a timecode start time list to my Loggers using InqScribe to type in manually. Most Professional field recorders will make these files and several apps will convert BWAVs to timestamped MP3s. The standard is Framerate in the Album field of the ID3, Timecode in the Artist field (among other things). Saves heaps of time and data transferring via internet.

+1. Especially now that Zoom has an ultra affordable recorder that imbeds starting timecode in the mp3 metadata (just like the Sound Devices units)
