support separate sets of snippets/shortcuts
Many folks want to share snippets or shortcuts with each other. Come up with a way to save a collection of snippets as a file to share with others, and have a way to limit which snippets are active for any given file.
Of course, this feature could also allow you to create and store collections of snippets for your own use.
I’ve edited the description to specify “snippet collections” as a feature you can use for yourself, not just for sharing purposes. Thanks for the feedback!

Bump on this feature, I think this would be a really nice addition, and I am surprised it is not supported already.

Hi Mike,
Thanks for writing in the suggestion. The good news is that we are actively considering this feature. We're currently working on some improvements to InqScribe, and although we cannot promise anything at this stage, we will try to include the "separate sets of shortcuts/snippets" idea.
We've actually already had someone write in this very suggestion, so I'm going to merge your votes into one entry: http://support.inqscribe.com/forums/4206-general-feedback-for-inqscribe/suggestions/234196-support-separate-sets-of-snippets-shortcuts
Thanks again!

Would it be possible that snippets / shortcuts can either be save with the inscribe file (tickbox option) or exported - imported. Different projects benefit from different shortcut sets and sometimes I move between machines too.

Hi all,
We're considering this feature, and we'd love to collect some more feedback about how you use shortcuts. We're toying with the idea of there being pre-loaded, default "sets" of shortcuts to choose from. Of course, these would be optional and adjustable. What we'd like to know is: what shortcuts should we pre-assign InqScribe? Are there certain commands and/or triggers that are essential to your workflow?
We welcome any feedback for both keyboard and foot pedal setups. Thanks!

Dittos. I wanted to copy a file, with S & S intact from my laptop to desktop computers. No go. Somehow they are stripped to the default, even though I'm opening the "same" copied .insq file.
What's up with that?
This robbed me of precious time. -

We would like a way of exporting shortcuts and snippets so they can be imported by other users. That way, all the transcribers have the same environment.

Not only to share with other people, but also for myself: depending on what I want to use InqScribe for, I always have to reset many snippet/shortcut keys. It would be easier if I could just load a settings file :-)
