InqScribe works with most USB foot pedals. Usually, there is no need to install additional drivers.

The easiest way to set up your foot pedal is to use InqScribe’s “Set up Foot Pedal…” Wizard (Edit menu). This walks you through a step-by-step process where you can map basic features to each of your pedal’s buttons.

The other option is to edit your shortcuts manually (in the Edit menu, select “Edit Shortcuts…”).

1. Click “Add” to create a new shortcut
2. Choose which command you want to activate with the shortcut
3. Click “Define Trigger”
4. Press the foot pedal button that you want to use to activate this shortcut
5. Click “Done.”
