Thanks for writing in. As far as I can tell, you can still enter frame specific times in time code fields, even if "omit frames" is checked. Can you tell us step-by-step what problem you're seeing? Shoot an email to support@inqscribe.com. The more detail you can provide, the better.

Thanks for the suggestion Andrew. I see how unpinning the video window would be really useful for presentation scenarios. We will consider this for a future update of InqScribe.

From Ashley, who proposed the same idea:
"I currently use inqscribe over two screens-one running the media and one where I am doing the transcription. This is particularly important to me as I am carrying out an analysis of HD screen recordings where interactions are on a micro scale. However, as the media player and transcription are tied together, it becomes quite difficult to resize the window easily over two screens. What would be much easier is if the media and transcription could be in separate windows, allowing me to resize them independently on difference displays."

Thanks for writing in the request. Sorry for the late reply. Just to be clear, are you asking for a way to control the left-right audio mix for media files that are already separated into two unique left and right channels? Note that InqScribe itself doesn't have a way of discerning multiple audio sources.

To address Joachim's request: you can actually remove some of those controls on the left side by unchecking them in the "View" sections of InqScribe's top bar menu.

Hi Josh,
Thanks for your feedback. I'm a little confused though- are you requesting an option to display outlined or "hollow" text in subtitled QuickTime Movies? Or are you requesting an option to display text in subtitled QuickTime Movies without a solid color background? If you're interested in the latter, you can actually achieve this by setting Position to "Flush with Bottom" or "Flush with Top" and the Background to "Transparent" in the Save Subtitled QuickTime Movie settings menu. I've updated the description to incorporate a similar anonymous request: the ability to default your media file's filename to the title of InqScribe transcripts.
